Recently, we had the privilege of building an employee website for Daimler Trucks North America’s Diversity & Inclusion department. We were excited to collaborate with their team on this project. From site design and development to ongoing content creation, we’ve been super fortunate to work with such an amazing group of people.
Website Design Goals
When the DTNA D&I team first approached us to create the site, keeping the content warm and personal while honoring the Daimler brand came as a top priority. Through our collaborative design process, we came up with a theme that captured these goals.
The design theme included circles and rounded organic elements that integrated well with the D&I logo. We further unified the site appearance by using a color palette based on the D&I logo. Finally, we planned to use photography of real Daimler folks across elements of the site. All together, these design, color, and content choices helped the site feel both fun and professional. (Check out screen shots of these elements in this project’s case study!)
Content Creation: The Way Forward
This website would act as a tool to connect the various communities and locations within DTNA. As such, it needed to stay fresh, alive, and useful. To accomplish this, we are continuing to help DTNA create campaigns and monthly features through copywriting, photography and video. We also created a site calendar, for multiple employee groups and clubs to share events across DTNA locations including Portland, Detroit, Fort Mill and Mexico.
(Be sure to check out their D&I video feature we put together, with the help of over 300 DTNA employees!)
We are truly honored to be a part of bringing this website to life.
