Project feature for an industrial services provider: Showcasing award-winning expertise

The Goal: Engage industrial customers by sharing our client’s distinguished award

Our client, an industrial services provider, received the prestigious 2024 Hauling Job of the Year (HJOY) award for transporting six turbine runners to a remote part of British Columbia. We wanted to share this achievement with a wide audience and highlight our client’s engineering excellence, unmatched capabilities, and signature “we got this” attitude.

The Solution: A multi-faceted promotional campaign

To increase visibility of our client’s achievement, we used a multi-faceted approach, which began with the creation and production of an award-winning video. From there, we created a dedicated landing page and a robust social media push with the feature video at the center. Using this approach, we were able to engage with our client’s current and potential customers and strengthen their credibility and reputation for ‘doing the impossible.’

Award-winning video

Years prior, our client had approached us to create an eye-catching video for their submission to the Specialized Carriers & Riggers Association (SC&RA) Hauling Job of the Year award. We had, over the course of the project’s multi-year duration, captured video of our client’s progress in executing this unprecedented hauling job as well as conducted multiple interviews with the crew. The video had to meet important scoring criteria while simultaneously providing a compelling story of the job’s significance. To top it off, this all had to be done in a tight 15 minutes or our client would be disqualified.

The video was presented as a documentary, inspired by Discovery Channel features and other on-the-ground documentary features. We tapped into the emotional intensity of this large-scale project through first-person interviews and balanced them with a voiceover narration of the project’s key facts and milestones. Through this storytelling approach, the job shone through as the stand-out Hauling Job of the Year, beating out entries from industrial service providers across the globe.

A dedicated landing page

As a key part of the promotional campaign, we designed and built a landing page to serve as an information hub, supplying the incredible details of the award-winning project as well as images and a clear link to the feature video. This allowed our target audience to easily see the scope and complexity of the project, and get in touch easily, right from the page.

Social media engagement

We ran posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, sharing the achievement, photos, and a link to our dedicated landing page.

As a result of this comprehensive marketing approach, the news of our client’s industry-leading achievement reached a wider audience and attracted customers seeking the unique services and capabilities our client offers.

The Results: Broader reach and impact

Social post performance:

  • LinkedIn: Impressions: 2,898, Engagement Rate: 33.71%, Clicks: 839
  • Facebook: Impressions: 1,654, Engagement Rate: 23.98%, Clicks: 309
  • Instagram: Impressions: 2,299, Engagement Rate: 9.42%, Reach: 1,857

All in all, this incredible project was six years in the making. The feature video helped their landmark project stand out from the pack, and by leveraging a high-quality, professional visual as part of a follow-up promotional campaign, they also gained a powerful competitive edge— boosting conversions and further positioning them as a trusted and credible leader in their market.
